Easy Recipes For Ground Beef: Easy Beef Goulash

A popular dish made with ground beef, macaroni, tomatoes and spices.


1 ( 8 oz.) package uncooked elbow macaroni
1 pound ground beef
1 cup diced onion
1 cup sliced celery
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 ( 14.5 oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 ( 10 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon caraway seed
1 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste
1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add in the macaroni, and cook for 8 minutes or until tender. Drain.

Meanwhile, crumble the ground beef into a 2-quart or larger casserole dish. Add the onion, celery and garlic. Cook in the microwave on High for 5 to 6 minutes, or until beef is no longer pink. Stir once during cooking. Drain off the grease.

Stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce and sugar into the beef. Season with paprika, oregano, caraway seed, cayenne pepper and salt. Cover and cook in the microwave on power level 8 for about 14 minutes, or until celery is tender and the flavors have blended.

Remove dish from the microwave, and mix in the cooked macaroni. Cook for 2 to 3 more minutes or until heated through. Serve.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 onion, diced
1 tomato, chopped
1 large potato, diced
1 ( 12 oz.) can corned beef
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Add onion and garlic, and cook until softened. Stir in the tomatoes and potatoes and cook for 7 to 10 minutes until potatoes are softened. Add in the corned beef and flake into pieces.

Cook for another 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Season with salt and pepper, and serve.

Tangy sour cream mingles with ground beef, onions and noodles in this hearty dish.

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup beef broth
1 (16 ounce) package wide egg noodles

Directions

Break up ground beef into a large skillet, and add onion, mushrooms, garlic powder, and mustard powder. Cook and stir over medium heat until the meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain off excess fat.

In a bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, and beef broth. Stir into beef mixture, and cook over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Do not stir too much.

Meanwhile, cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water until done. Drain. Serve sauce over hot noodles.
